MASSENA -- Members of the Massena Lions Club will take to the streets Friday, Oct. 12 to raise funds as part of White Cane Day.
Funds donated by community members will be used to help fund the Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation, Lions Eye Institute, Scholarship for Graduating Senior and Meals on Wheels.
According to Carol Perry, Massena Lions Club President, “Money raised on October 12th will allow the Massena Lions to meet pressing needs in our community including providing exams and eye glasses for children and adults in need of financial help. Lion’s members thank everyone who contributes to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community.”
The Massena Lions Club has 17 members and meets weekly on Wednesdays at 12:15 at Dar’s Place. Lions clubs identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs.
For information on the club contact Carol Perry at 769-2584.
