MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center are hosting a week of day camps from Feb. 16 to 20 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. each day.
The sessions are for kids ages 6-12.
They will focus on surviving in the winter.
Feb. 16 will take place at the Nature Center trails
Feb. 17 to 20 will be at the Hawkins Point Visitor Center.
Topics will include building winter shelters, learning how to use a magnetic compass, how to find water and food and how to signal for help.
Participants should wear appropriate dress for the weather. Most days will include outdoor time.
There is no charge for this program but registration is required.
