OGDENSBURG -- The third installment of the Maple City Triathlon will begin Saturday, Aug. 6 at 8 a.m. at the Dobisky Visitors' Center, 100 Riverside Ave.
The USA Triathlon sanctioned sprint triathlon is open to both individuals and teams and features a 750M swim in the St. Lawrence River, 20K bike ride on State Highway 37, and 5K run on the paved Maple City Trail.
Registration has been extended and the cost is $80 for an individual or $115 for a team. Register at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Ogdensburg/MapleCityTriathlon.
A one-day USAT membership is required for non-members and can be purchased for $15.
The Mini Maple Kids Triathlon for ages 5-12 will begin at the Dobisky Center on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 9 a.m.
The swimming and biking distances vary by age group and all ages will complete a one-mile run on the trail.
Swimming will take place in the Elsa M. Luksich Municipal Pool and all biking is on a closed course loop.
