POTSDAM -- Make your own earrings with experienced jewelry artist Virginia Burnett during a jewelry making class May 10 at 10 a.m. at 41 Elm St., room 229, Downtown Snell Hall.
Burnett will teach students how to make their own pair of bead woven earrings.
This class is designed for beginners through intermediate-level. Students will learn to weave a simple loop of right angle weave with glass pearls, use seed and Czech beads to embellish it and complete the design by stacking the finished woven bead on a headpin.
Students will likely finish in class and everyone can take home a set of illustrated instructions to make more.
The cost is $28 and includes all materials. Students with vision impairments should bring their own magnifying device. Register 265-6860 or www.slcartscouncil.org.
