HEUVELTON -- The Madstop Fiddlers will perform at the Pickens Hall Opera House, 83 State St., on Saturday, May 12, at 2 p.m.
The group based in Potsdam, is a multi-generational fiddle ensemble of fiddlers who are enthusiastic about sharing Old Time, Celtic, Quebec and Nordic fiddle music, says the bands bio.
Under the direction of their teacher, local fiddler Gretchen Koehler, the group has performed around the North Country playing tunes for New England contra dances, Quebec Sugaring Off parties, farmers' markets, cafes, historical societies, places of worship and Old Time jam sessions.
Admission to the performance is by donation.
