LOUISVILLE -- The Louisville Summer Bash will be held June 29 and 30, featuring an ice cream social, duck race, firematics, parade, bed races and a beer tent.
The ice cream social and annual duck race will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Louisville Fire Department, Thompson Ridge Road.
Firematics will be offered at noon Saturday, followed by the parade at 3 p.m. The parade will run from the St. Lawrence Church, Willard Road, to the arena.
A chicken barbeque and kids games will follow at 4 p.m. A bounce house, bed races, crafts, a cake contest, beer tent and concessions will also be offered. DJ Jimmy Edwards will offer music.
Fireworks will wrap up the Saturday events at dusk.
Sunday events begin with an 11 a.m. ecumenical church service at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
After the service, a picnic will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the community center. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served.
The proceeds will benefit the Summer Bash Committee, the community churches, minor hockey, the Lions Club and local vendors.
