WADDINGTON -- Loomis Quarter Horses is hosting two upcoming equestrian workshops.

On April 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., accomplished western pleasure trainer Ray Carmean of Orangeville, Penn. will work one-on-one with each horse and rider to hone their show ring performance.

There is an auditing fee of $25.

On April 26, NRHA world champion Scott Loomis will offer two sessions.

The first, from 9 a.m. to noon, will deal with getting a horse back into condition for good-weather riding.

The second, from 1 to 4 p.m., will deal with introductory reining. Attendees can learn the beginning principles of lead changes, spins, stops and negotiating an NRHA pattern.

For more information, call Loomis at 388-7736 or email loomisqh@gmail.com.
