Teams participate in past Clarkson Ignite Robotics Challenge
POTSDAM -- Clarkson University will host the Clarkson Ignite Robotics Challenge on Dec. 1 and 2 in CAMP and the Student Center.
Local high school teams will compete in a FIRST Tech Challenge scrimmage on Friday, Dec. 1. The competition will begin with opening ceremonies at 8:45 a.m., with robot play beginning at 11 a.m.
Closing ceremonies with awards will take place at 3:30 p.m.
This year's theme is Relic Recovery.
A record number of middle school teams will compete in the FIRST Lego League (FLL) competition on Saturday, Dec. 2.
Thirty-seven teams from across the North Country will demonstrate their knowledge of this year's theme, Hydrodynamics.
The teams will demonstrate their research, be interviewed about core values, and explain the technical details of their robot design.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Robot play, which can be observed by spectators, will begin at 11 a.m.
Closing ceremonies with awards are scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
