POTSDAM – Photographer Dennis Barr’s photographic work and restoration will be on display beginning with an open house 7 to 9 p.m. Friday night, Aug. 23 at Creative Spirit Gallery, 6 Raymond St.
Barr attended the 150th anniversary Civil War reenactment at Gettysburg this year, was a participant and the photographer in costume.
Barr also worked with Canton Historian Linda Casserly in digitizing and restoring over 150 glass-plate negatives from 1890 to 1930 taken by Canton photographer Benjamin Kip, long-time native and, in the estimation of many, a superior photographer.
The show will run through Sept. 21.
