CANTON -- The Canton Free Library, 8 Park St., will host the North Country's first "Living Library" event on Saturday, April 18.
Events are designed to foster communication and understanding through one-on-one conversations with "Living Books"-- local people with amazing stories to share, library officials said in an email.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., participants can choose anyone who sounds interesting and sit down for an informal, 20-minute conversation about what makes them tick.
Ask questions, share experiences and get to know our community a little better.
"Titles" include author, linguist and expert on Amish life Karen Johnson-Weiner; TAUNY founder Varick Chittenden; scientist Ron Tavernier; martial arts instructor and Ray Bradbury expert Frank Palumbo and more.
Refreshments will be served.
