MASSENA -- The Concerts in the Park series, here in Spring Park, will really get moving June 22 at 6 p.m. with the jam band stylings of local favorites Atom Ghost.

The Concerts in the Park series is sponsored by the Massena Chamber of Commerce and will offer a wide variety of free musical entertainment for local residents.

The Massena-based Atom Ghost, formed in September 2016 and comprised of Kevin O’Brien, guitar and vocals; Greg Currier, drums and vocals; Brandon Bolster, bass; and Ethan Marolf, guitar, describes themselves as a “good vibes and family band.” The band riffs on covers by the Grateful Dead, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and other classic rock bands, with typical jam band flare and improvised jams mixed into their sets.

The following upcoming performances for the series are scheduled.

Old Country will perform classic country music on June 29. On July 6, the Canton-based Bee Children will play a mix of original, folk and pop songs from around the world. The music continues on July 13 with the Massena-based Tracer James Trio laying down rock and roll grooves. Bucket List takes the stage for some classic rock on July 20, followed by orchestral music from the Northern Lights Orchestra on July 27.

August series performances include Mary Ann Casale & Tas Cru on Aug. 3, Steelin Country on Aug. 10, Outta The Blue Band on Aug. 17 and Easy Street on Aug. 24.
