WADDINGTON – North Country favorites Northbound will play well-known and loved pop, rock, and folk music from the past five decades at the concluding show of the Waddington Concert Series Friday, Aug. 10, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This group is comprised of locals Andy VanDyne (electric guitar, keyboard and vocals), Michael Welch (acoustic guitar and vocals), Don Cannamela (bass and vocals), Larry Baycura (drums), Tim Savage (tenor sax) and sometimes a guest artist or two.
The core of "Northbound" goes back over 10 years, and the current configuration has performed concerts and shows at many venues around the North Country, and Upstate New York.
The band has been influenced by great singer-songwriters of the 1950's through today including James Taylor, Paul Simon, John Foggerty, and The Beatles.
Concert-goers are advised to bring their own chair.

Potsdam favorites Double Axel will appear again in 2018 on Friday, Aug. 17, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Double Axel has been a facet of the Northern New York music scene since 1971. Seaway Trail Auto Sales/Car Wash and Premier Self Storage are sponsoring this performance.
Plattsburgh country and bluegrass band Beartracks will play Friday, Aug. 31, from 6:30- 8:30 p.m.
The free concerts are held on Fridays at Waddington's Island View Park Pavilion at the end of Main Street, rain or shine.
