POTSDAM -- Living Better with Diabetes programs will be held on Thursdays from July 30 through Sept. 3 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and on Thursdays from Sept. 24 through Oct. 29 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
The free program is offered by the Health Initiative and will be held at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital Primary Care offices on Lawrence Avenue in the community education room.
A light snack is provided at each session.
Family members, friends and/or caregivers are welcome to attend as well.
Topics covered include nutrition, physical activity, problem solving, short term goal setting, medication usage, and dealing with the frustration and other difficult emotions that come with living with a long term health condition.
