CANTON -- A live band community contra dance will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 7 until 9 p.m. at St. Lawrence University at the Noble Center room 109.
Beth Robinson will call and music will be provided by the Community Contra Band.
The dance is open to the public and beginners are welcome.
The suggested donation is $5-10.
More dances will be scheduled in the spring.
Musicians interested in playing at contra dances can join the TAUNY/SLU Contra Tune School which meets weekly during the school year and plays at dances.
