CANTON -- The Little River Ramble opens the paddling season on April 24 at the Little River Boat Launch next to the Park Street Bridge.
The college and recreational races are about two miles and the kayak and marathon class races are about six miles. Classes will be determined on race day and may include a recreation division with classes for men, women, mixed, college, adult/junior and rec unlimited open.
The marathon division classes may be: C-1 open, C-1 stock open, C-2 open and C-2 stock open, K-1 and war canoe/voyager. There is no pro class, but there will be a separate college class.
Entry fees are $20 for adults, $15 for St. Lawrence Valley Paddlers members, $5 for students and free for college students.
The Little River Ramble is a great warm-up for the Canton Canoe Weekend that follows two weeks later, May 7 and 8.
