CANTON -- Little River Community School, County Route 25, will host an open house for students kindergarten through fifth grade on Wednesday, April 22, at 6:30 p.m.

Child-care and refreshments will be provided. There will be an informal discussion about the program and the philosophy of the school and time for questions and answers.

Little River Community School is a K-12 alternative school with a cooperative, multi-age learning environment and an 8:1 student teacher ratio. The school features hands-on experience, field trips, academic classes and student input. The school also provides services and support for families who want to school at home including in-school opportunities and curriculum support.

Little River Community School has openings for the fall 2015/2016 school year. Tuition aid, up to nearly one half off the full price, is available to lower and middle-income families. Busing within a 15-mile radius is provided by the local school district.
