LISBON -- Mechanical bulls, train rides and barbecues are just a few of the events scheduled for Lisbon's "Saddle Up and Ride" homecoming weekend.
Organizers are exited to present a variety of new events to accompany favorites like the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department's chicken barbecue and the annual parade.
A schedule of events follows:
Friday, Aug. 17
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. - Clothing give-a-way at Pastor Rockhills across from Lisbon Library
4 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Pulled Pork Dinner at the Lisbon American Legion
4 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Seaway Valley Jumpers Monstacle Jump House and Bounce House for kids of all ages
5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Train rides at the Lisbon Depot Museum
7 to 11 p.m. - Mechanical bull and visit with your neighbors the Lisbon Fireman Field
Saturday, Aug. 18
7 a.m. to 10 a.m. - Buffet Breakfast at United Presbyterian Church
7 a.m. - 7:45 a.m. - 5K Run Registration at American Legion.
8 a.m. - Walkers and Fun Run at American Legion
8 a.m. - Book Sale at Lisbon Library
8 a.m. - Town Wide Yard Sales
8 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Clothing Give-a-way. Pastor Rockhills across from the Lisbon library.
12 noon - Sand Castle Contest at Lisbon Beach
9 a.m. - Lisbon 89ers food and yard sale at Lisbon Library
9 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Train rides at the Lisbon Depot Museum
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. - Craft Show at First Congregational White Church
11 a.m. - Parade beginning at Lisbon Central School ending at Lisbon Fire Station; Local celebrity John Moore will announce the event
12 noon - Chicken barbecue at Lisbon Fire Station
2 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Ice Cream Social at First Congregational White Church
3:30 p.m. - Lisbon Hall of Fame at Lisbon Central School
6 p.m. - 11 p.m. - Games/Concessions at Lisbon Beach
7 p.m. - 9 p.m. - Karaoke at the Lisbon Beach Pavilion
12 noon until Dusk -Seaway Valley Jumpers Monstacle and Jump House @ Lisbon Beach
9:45 p.m. Fireworks at Lisbon Beach - donation accepted upon admission.
Sunday, Aug. 19
12 noon - 12:45 p.m. - Youth Triathlon Registration at Lisbon Beach
1 p.m. - Youth Triathlon Begins
11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Refreshments at Lisbon Beach.
2 p.m. - 4 p.m. - Lisbon Depot Museum open to the public,
