On Tuesday, June 19, representatives from Lisbon Central School, the Town of Lisbon, and bus contractor First Student met at Lisbon Central School to discuss the summer beach program.

First Student generously agreed to donate a bus, including the cost of fuel, a bus driver, and a bus monitor for the duration of the program.

The Town of Lisbon has agreed to provide two paid beach monitors for the program.

“This is an excellent example of the community working together to benefit our children,” said Lisbon Central Superintendent Patrick Farrand. “We are grateful to First Student and the Town of Lisbon for their generosity in making this summer program possible. I would also like to thank the Lisbon Teacher’s Association for the wonderful work they have done in partnership with the People’s Project in growing the beach program and securing funds to build a new playground at the beach.”
