CANTON -- There will be plenty more than antiques and artisans’ wares at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association’s 25th Antique and Artisan Show and Sale Saturday, April 25.

The show will also include a quilt raffle, a silent auction and luncheon.

Canton’s McKenney Middle School, 99 State St., will host the show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Antique dealers and artisans will have their wares for sale. Items donated for the silent auction include a spinning wheel, a set of Noritake china, framed prints by Dick Bailey and Lucretia Romey, antique linens, glassware, an 1865 Atlas of St. Lawrence County, and more. Bidding closes at 3:30 p.m., with the winning bids announced shortly after.

The soup and sandwich luncheon will be served in the middle school cafeteria under the supervision of Terry and Paula Niles. Dessert will be available.

The quilt, made of mainly Civil War era reproduction fabrics, was pieced by SLCHA member Nancy Lafaver of Lisbon. Tickets will be on sale at the show which is sponsored this year by Blanchard’s Auction Services, Potsdam, and Mort Backus & Sons, Ogdensburg.

Raffle tickets are $1 each, six chances for $5 and twelve chances for $10. The winning ticket will be drawn Sunday, July 26, at the SLCHA’s Civil War Weekend reenactment in Massena. Proceeds benefit the St. Lawrence County Historical Association.
