POTSDAM -- Thanks to individual donors, a grant from the Grasseroots Fund, and a partnership between SLC Arts and Potsdam Public Library, community members will soon be able to use lighting studio equipment at the Fred W. Cleveland Computer Center.
On Monday, Sept. 18, from 10-11 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 21, from 1-2 p.m., local photographer Jim Bullard will present a brief demo of the SLC Arts Lighting Studio equipment, including assembly, set-up, and general questions.
Group discussion during these sessions will help guide topics for future Lighting Studio classes, which could include how to photograph 2-D and 3-D artwork and other product photography topics. Future dates for additional demonstrations are still to be announced.
The equipment is owned by SLC Arts and housed at Potsdam Public Library’s Cleveland Computer Center on the basement level of 2 Park St.
While free and open to everyone, registration for the Sept. 18 and 21 demonstrations will be limited to five individuals per class. The same information will be presented in both classes.
To register, contact Bobby at 315-265-7230 or bgordon@potsdamlibrary.org. Updates about the SLC Arts Lighting Studio will be available at http://slcartscouncil.org/lighting-studio/.
