DEKALB JUNCTION -- Did you know there were at least six active chapters of the KKK in St. Lawrence County in 1928?
A lecture by Bryan Thompson will discuss this on May 21 at 7 p.m. at the Meetinghouse Museum, 696 E. DeKalb Rd., DeKalb Junction.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Thompson, who has done extensive research on the subject, found evidence of rallies attended by hundreds of people and the Klan’s involvement in local politics.
Thompson is the historian for DeKalb.
