CANTON – Classes to teach about walking, tricks and agility for pets are currently accepting registration for programs to be held in Canton beginning at the end of May.
A walkabout workshop will teach participants how to take your dog for a walk instead of the dog leading the way. Classes will be held Tuesday evenings from May 20 through June 10 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Canton Animal Clinic, 2750 St. Hwy. 68. The group will go on field trips with your dog around town. The cost is $95.
Trick classes are designed to unleash a dogs playful side and will include jumping through a hula-hoop, playing opossum, taking a bow and more. Workshops are planned for Wednesday evenings from June 4 to 25 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Canton Animal Clinic. Participants need to bring an appropriate sized hula-hoop to class. The cost is $95.
Six-week dog agility classes will be June 17 through July 22 from 7 to 8 p.m. The location is to be determined. Owners will race their dogs through tunnels, over jumps and across a dog-walk. The cost is $140.
