Pesto prep workshop
CANTON -- A “garlic mustard pull and pesto prep workshop” will be held Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. though 1 p.m. at TAUNY, 53 Main St. Nature Up North and TAUNY are hosting the event.
Garlic mustard is an invasive herb that threatens local native species.
Its spread can be controlled by eating it.
Participants will pull garlic mustard from two sites where it is spreading around Canton.
A demonstration at TAUNY will show how to turn the invasive weed into a pesto.
Dress for the weather and for getting a dirty.
RSVP to Jake Malcomb, Nature Up North Project Manager at jmalcomb@stlawu.edu.
