POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will host Jaunita’s First Thursday Creations Sept. 3 with polenta cake with blackberries and fresh corn.

It is a high protein dessert due to the polenta, tofu, and almond milk, and is entirely egg and dairy-free. Juanita will offer samples and the recipe from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

While in the store join Rose Rivezzi for “Shopping with Rosie” between 4:30 and 5 p.m. for a personalized tour to see how the bulk bins work and how to order through the Buying Club for better discounts. Chat with staff or see the bakery with its wood-fired oven.

At 5 p.m. there will be co-op Q&A with Eric Jesner, the store manager.
