POTSDAM -- Arielle Wolter of Arielle Acres will lead a workshop on making lip balm, healing salve and a topical ointment Saturday, May 13, from 1-3 p.m, in Potsdam, with the Local Living Venture group.

The workshop will feature simple, safe, effective and all natural ingredients - so attendees can make their own herbal preparations at home. Each person will leave with a small sample of each of the items demonstrated as well.

Registration is necessary. RSVP to receive full details, including location and directions. Contact LocalLivingVenture@gmail.com or 315-347-4223 with the name, number in party, email address and phone number.

This educational event is presented in partnership between Natures Birth Journey and the Local Living Venture (LLV), with in-kind sponsorship by the Potsdam Public Library.

Presenter Arielle Wolter is the owner of Arielle Acres, a 520 acre farm located in Macomb that grows heritage breed livestock and a vegetable garden, striving towards a self sufficient lifestyle.

Arielle is also the owner of Natures Birth Journey Doula and Apothecary Services which provides doula services, childbirth education, blessingway ceremonies, and women's services.

The course costs a donation of $25 for the general public, $45 for a couple/family of two, or $12 for students.

Reduced rate or scholarships are available upon request.

Local Living Venture presenters are volunteers donating their time to support the LLV, a non-profit community-based organization run by volunteers.
