CANTON -- Bob Wagner will share the skills of growing Shiitake mushrooms May 5 at 10 a.m. at a location between Canton and Hermon. Attendees will learn about raising gourmet-quality Shiitake mushrooms including extraction of hardwood logs from the forest, inoculating them with commercial plug spawn, sealing the holes with wax, and laying them up according to ancient Japanese tradition.
