POTSDAM -- A workshop on American and continental knitting styles will be Nov. 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at TAUNY, 53 Main St.
Jody Horwitz will lead the workshop that will teach the difference between American and Continental knitting styles and does not focus on completing a project.
It is designed to prepare a knitter for Fair Isle knitting, carrying 2 colors of yarn with one in each hand, and is good training for the Fair Isle Headband workshop on Dec.13.
It may also help knitters increase their knitting speed. Students need to bring worsted weight yarn and appropriate needles for the yarn they bring.
Cost for the workshop is $15 ($12 for TAUNY Friends), and registration is required.
