HANNAWA FALLS- Local Living Venture presents "Herbs for Health & Healing: An Overview & How-To" Thursday, April 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Helping Hands, 5868 State Highway 56.
The presentation with local natural health and whole foods expert Paula M. Youmell will focus on healing with herbs entails, herbs for common conditions, and various ways to use herbs.
Participants will leave with a small packet of herbs, compliments of the Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., Potsdam; and the knowledge to create personalized herbal concoctions at home.
She will cover the use of capsules, teas, tinctures, ointments, poultices, and more for dietary and topical applications.
The fee is $17 per person, $30 for a couple/family of two, or $10 for students.
Scholarships are available.
