MASSENA -- Nature Up North is providing an opportunity to learn about local fish and how to cast from 9 to 11 a.m. June 27 at Whalen Park at the end of Whalen Road.
No previous experience is required. Fishing poles will be provided but you may bring your own gear if you like. Wading attire, such as shorts and closed-toe sandals, sunscreen, water, and a camera, to post pictures of your catch on natureupnorth.org, are recommended.
Participants over the age of 16 are required to have a fishing license.
Organizers ask that those who wish to participate RSVP to info@natureupnorth.org or 558-2704, as a limited number of fishing poles are available.
