CANTON -- Horatio Hough, a private figure, was historically significant as a fervent Lewis County abolitionist who went on trial for his beliefs in the 1840s.

Learn more about Horatio Hough’s fascinating story when Stephen Farina, a professor of communication and media at Clarkson University, presents The Trial of Horatio Hough at the next Patricia Harrington Carson Brown Bag Lunch program at noon Thursday, Feb. 19 at Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St.
