OGDENSBURG -- On Friday, May 1, the Special Olympics torch will begin its journey at Ogdensburg City Hall at 7:30 a.m. with a press conference.
Following the press conference, the athletes will start off with the torch, where it will travel more than 36 miles down state Route 37 and end at the Massena Town Hall around 1 p.m.
State police and corrections officers, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Ogdensburg Police Department, Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol, Massena Police Department and more will all participate.
This run is leading up to the North Country Summer games at SUNY Canton on May 2.
