CANTON -- St. Lawrence University will hold its traditional Candlelight Service in Gunnison Memorial Chapel at 7 and 9 p.m. on Dec. 7.
Celebrating its 95th year, the service will feature the Laurentian Singers, University Chorus and a community children’s chorus from Canton Central Schools conducted by Sondra Goldsmith Proctor, St. Lawrence's musician-in-residence.
Both services will be approximately 55-minutes in duration, and both are free and open to the public. The 9 p.m. service will be streamed live by North Country Public Radio, and it can be watched on St. Lawrence's website at www.stlawu.edu/2016-candlelight-service.
Parking for chapel events is available in the H-Lot, across from Griffiths Arts Center and next to Vilas Hall. For the Candlelight Service, St. Lawrence’s Safety and Security will provide a shuttle between the H-Lot and the chapel for anyone in need of transportation assistance. The shuttle will begin at 6:30 p.m. and conclude at 11:30 p.m. Visit www.stlawu.edu/campus-map for an interactive map of the campus.
