OGDENSBURG -- Ogdensburg GreenMarket in Library Park announces the last day of its contest to win two $25 GreenMarket gift certificates.

The $25 GreenMarket gift certificate contest is open to everyone visiting the market.

The drawing will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4.

“’The States,” Janie Stein and Martin Bates, performed last year at the market and are back by popular demand. They have played across the country at Farmers Markets and coffee houses bringing a revived folk sound with harmonies, guitar and stories. The States will also be performing at our market on Aug. 11.

This week the GreenMarket features green and yellow beans, tomatoes, eggplant bell peppers, hot peppers, zucchini and summer squash, spring salad mix, the first potatoes, beets, garlic, cut flowers, lettuce plants and whatever else is ready for harvest Saturday morning.

In addition to the fresh produce visitors will find River Myst wines, homemade pies, cookies, breads, jams & jellies, whoopee pies, cupcakes and granola.

A huge selection of locally grown potted herbs, all natural organic soaps, ‘American Doll’ doll clothes, baskets, hand crafted jewelry and garden stepping stones featuring stained glass designs.

The Ogdensburg GreenMarket is also open on Wednesdays on the corner of Route 37 and Linden Streets from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Thursdays on the corner of King Street and Mansion Avenue at the hospital from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
