CANTON -- A spaghetti dinner to benefit the Larry LaParr family will be held Friday, Sept. 6 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the VFW post, 34 Gouverneur St.
LaParr, Hannawa Falls, is a general mechanic in the SUNY Canton physical plant.
His wife Linda works in the Small Business Development Office. LaParr has been diagnosed with light chain amyloidosis, a rare blood diesease.
He will undergo a bone marrow procedure. He will be in Boston for at least six weeks, before undergoing chemotherapy.
Meals will be $7 for adults, $5 for kids age five to 10, free for kids under age five. Meatballs, Italian bread, salad, and brownies will be served.
Take out will be available.
