CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Planning Office spring land use training session will take place Thursday, May 21 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. at St. Lawrence University’s Griffiths Arts Center in Room 123.
The session will provide an orientation to new appointees to planning boards and zoning boards of appeals.
“This year we have seen a number of new appointees to local boards” said Matilda M. Larson, a planner II in the office. “This training session is intended to provide the fundamentals to new appointees on board responsibilities and conducting project reviews. While the session is tailored for new appointees, the event is open for all members.”
The two-hour training session costs $25 per attendee and registration with the Planning Office is required at 379-2292 or mlarson@stlawco.org.
