POTSDAM - “Lace Lines” opens Friday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Arts Gallery, 18 Elm St.

The solo exhibit features drawings and sculptural forms by Liza LaBarge of Norwood.

“LaBarge's large-scale charcoal drawings merge the real with the surreal to create allegorical works,” according to a news release from SLC Arts.

“The detailed weaving and threading of the crochet lace within my drawings is a visual representation for the idea that we as humans are all shaped by many different directions, traditions, and past histories linking together to form one life," LaBarge said.

She holds a master of fine arts degree in visual studies from the University at Buffalo.

“Lace Lines” will be on display at the Potsdam Town Hall through Nov. 30 and is free and open to the public.
