Knowles Combo plays Monday for Morristown summer series

MORRISTOWN – The Paul Knowles Combo with Sam Hopkins will perform as part of the Morristown Gateway Museum summer concert series at 7 p.m. Monday, July 19 at the gazebo in Chapman Park.

Knowles says the group does songs connected with Al Green as wall as jazz, blues, and rock.

Sam Hopkins is a Clayton resident whose singing and showmanship has captured audiences in Morristown in previous years.

The members of the group include Jim Burr on keyboards, Mike Wills on guitar, Jim Wylie (a member of the Mutt Band) on saxophone, and Knowles on drums.

All concerts in the series begin at 7 p.m. at the locations listed below:

July 26 – Museum – Fiddlers Donnie Woodcock and Gretchen Koehler

July 31 – Museum – Frank Sacci’s Band

Aug. 2 – Chapman Park – A Fine Line Jazz Combo

Aug. 7 – Museum – Conrad Story Blues Band

Aug. 9 – Chapman Park – Barbara Heller

Aug. 16 – Chapman Park – Nichols Family Gospel Music

Aug. 23 – Chapman Park – Northern Lights Orchestra.
