HANNAWA FALLS -- A “Kids Pirate Hike” will be held Oct. 13 at Red Sandstone Trail, Mill Street.
The three-mile walk is on mostly level ground and includes a free hotdog and marshmallow cookout midway along the trail. A guide will tell the legend of a band of Pirates from the Caribbean that lost their gold somewhere along the trail.
Participants will also learn about frogs, beavers, hydropower, and the history of the region.
