POTSDAM -- The St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce will host its inaugural North Country Kids Expo on Saturday, June 9, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Maxcy Hall Field house at SUNY Potsdam.
“There are a number of local businesses, organizations and vendors who cater to families, and there are a lot of families who are always looking for things to do with their kids,” said chamber executive director Brooke Rouse.
“This event will be an interactive day of play with exhibits, demonstrations and play spaces -- as well as being a resource fair so that people know about what is available for families, from health care to campgrounds, child care to party planning. Exhibitors will be highlighted from across the north country and attract attendees from just as far,” Rouse said.
The chamber aims to make this an annual event that gives businesses, vendors, camps and organizations the opportunity to showcase the fun and engaging activities as well vital resources and services they have to offer to families and children in the North Country region.
The show will launch just as local schools are getting ready to close for summer break and give parents and families the opportunity to learn of the many summer activities available for them.
The Chamber is currently recruiting vendors, organizations and businesses for the event. Booth fees are from $60 to $80.
Those interested in creating interactive play spaces will be given a third booth free.
