CANTON -- The TAUNY Center will host artist Velma Bolyard to teach children age 9 and older to craft handmade books Thursday, June 7, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. The program is related to TAUNY’s mini-exhibit about letterboxing, a hobby that can involve the use of handmade books.
Children will participate in the entire process of making a book, including collating pages, binding, and decorating their book covers with an ink wash. The cost for the class is $20 ($16 for TAUNY Friends or a second child). Pre-registration and pre-payment are required by 386-4289.
