POTSDAM -- Juanita’s 1st Thursday Creation at the Potsdam Food Co-op, 24 Elm St., will be held June 1, from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
The featured recipe will be garbanzorizo, a combination of Mexican and Middle Eastern influences.
The featured ingredient is garbanzo beans (chick peas), which has at least a 7500 year history, originating in Turkey and Greece and then spreading slowly to other countries.
This recipe is vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, yet will satisfy the palette of any adventurous eater.
After sampling Juanita's creation attendees are invited to join Rose Rivezzi for Shopping with Rosie between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m.
