MASSENA -- A winter scavenger hunt for kids five to 12 years old will be held at the trailhead at the Nature Center on March 8 from 1 to 3 p.m.
Kids will search through the nature trails looking for signs of animal activity and nature in winter.
Participants will team up into six groups and given a list of items to locate along the trails, and each group will be given a digital camera to use to document findings.
Children will each receive a photo of their team for their nature journal.
The event is part of the Jr. Earth Keepers Club, an environmental educational kid’s club which meets monthly, and provides regular incentives for learning and volunteering at the Nature Center.
Dress for weather.
