STOCKHOLM -- Jazz guitarist Paul Meyers, a Potsdam native, will perform on Monday, July 30, at 7 p.m. at the Hermitage, Robin McClellan's home, at 465 Old Market Rd., in a benefit concert for Tedra Cobb's congressional run.
Meyers is a world-renowned jazz guitarist based in New York City. He spent his high school years in Potsdam and studied at Crane with Dick Stephan.
Since then, he has had a career of touring, teaching, and playing the New York scene.
He performs locally a few times every summer when he returns to visit family.
There is an open invite to the performance.
Attendees will have an opportunity to hear world class jazz in a small setting, meet Cobb and donate to her campaign if they choose.
Visit Robin's website at https://robinmcclellan.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/directions-to-robins.pdf for directions.
The Cobb campaign is trying to gauge how many people may attend. Please RSVP to events@tedracobb.com if possible.
