Meanwhile, Martha Gallagher and Harper’s Delight will take the stage Thursday, July 24 at 7 p.m. Gallagher is celebrating her 25th anniversary as the Adirondack Harper. She has a diverse musical background; from classical flautist in a symphony orchestra to lead singer in rock and jazz/blues bands.

There has been a community band in the Village of Norwood consistently since its incorporation in 1872. After a hiatus during World War II, the band was reformed in 1946 when the community band became The Norwood Fire Department Band.

The band produced its first recording in the mid 1970's. From 1946 to the present day approximately 200 players have been members.

The band has played countless local events in the North Country to presidential inaugurations and even the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia.

They play many patriotic pieces and jazz favorites.

Seasoned solo performers Dan Berggren, Peggy Lynn and Dan Duggan have combined talents to create a dynamic trio named Jamcrackers. The name is in honor of the river drivers who broke up log jams. The musicians bring a rare blend of humor history and musical spirit to their performances.

Lynn writes and performs songs about women and natural beauty of the North Country and her bluesy alto melts every audience. With Sandra Weber, she co-authored"Breaking Trail: Remarkable Women of the Adirondacks.

Duggan is the National Hammered Dulcimer Champion and is know from Maine to California for his wizardry on the hammered dulcimer, flat-picking guitar, and keyboards. In addition to his extensive array of recordings (18), Dan's dulcimer talents are spotlighted on Paul Simon's Grammy-nominated album "You're the One and The Paul Simon Collection.
