MASSENA -- A teenager whose arm was severed in a work accident will benefit from an upcoming jamboree.
The Massena Moose Lodge, 4 Ames St., is hosting the event on June 22 from noon to 8 p.m. with all funds raised aiding Brett Bouchard and his family with medical and travel expenses.
In late April, Bouchard, 17, had his right arm severed near the elbow while cleaning a pasta machine at Violi's Restaurant, where he is employed. He was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, where the appendage was reattached and he continues to recover.
The jamboree will include a pig roast at 1 p.m. and five bands playing throughout the day, including Backdraft and The Max Ryder Band. There will also be t-shirts for sale, raffles and a Chinese auction.
There is a $2 suggested donation at the door.
