BRASHER -- A jamboree will be held in the memory of local drummer Mike Best who died in 2011.
The event will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Aug. 25 at the River view bar and Restaurant.
The jamboree will feature six local bands, including: Kickin' Back, Oshier Country, Back Draft, Senior Moment, Dave MacMillan & The Villagers and the Drifters. Admission is $5.
Best's Yamaha drum set will be silently auctioned.
All proceeds will benefit a St. Lawrence Central music scholarship in Best's memory.
