DEKALB -- A jamboree will be held for Amvets Post 11 Commander Robert Law at 1 p.m. Aug.19 at the DeKalb Junction Amvets.
Entertainment will be provided by the Buckskins, the Charleton Brothers and Classic County. Silent auctions, raffles and other games of chance will be held.
A donation of $3 per person or $5 per couple will be accepted at the door.
Law has been diagnosed with stage-three liver cancer and has been traveling to Roswell in Buffalo for treatments. Donations and proceeds generated from the jamboree will offset travel and medical related expenses.
