CRANBERRY LAKE -- Cranberry Lake Volunteer Fire and Rescue will host a benefit for the grandchildren of Emmett and Joyce Duprey on Sept. 1, 2012. T

The Duprey's son-in-law was diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer in May and has undergone brain surgery, radiation and chemotherapy with more treatment ahead.

There will be a BBQ chicken & pulled pork dinner starting at 4 p.m. Cost will be $8 per person. A silent auction and raffles will also be held along a dance at 7 p.m.

Casey and his wife Christie (Duprey) Redd, have only been married three years and have two sons, a two-year-old and a four-month-old.

Casey and Christie have both been active in the volunteer community for years. Casey had been a driver for Ogdensburg Rescue Squad until his illness in May and Christie was a member of Cranberry Lake VFD when she lived at home with her parents.
