COLTON -- The second performance in the Colton Summer Music Series will be the jazz sounds of Jack Kelley’s Little Big Band on Wednesday, July 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the gazebo on Main Street.

Since their first official gig at the 2003 Potsdam's Summer Festival, the 14- to 16-piece Jack Kelley Little Big Band has played big band favorites and contemporary classics in venues ranging from the Thousand Island's Boldt Castle Gala to festivals and various concert series in Watertown, Massena, Potsdam, Norfolk, Alex Bay, Lisbon; Hopkinton, Waddington, Tupper Lake, Ogdensburg, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake.

The band is led by Army Band veteran Jack Kelley of Potsdam, and features professional and talented amateur musicians from all over St. Lawrence County.

The rain location for the show will be the Old Fire Station on Riverside Drive.

Food will be provided by the Colt’s Pride Booster Club

A country farm design barn quilt will be raffled off to help support the series.

The summer music series featuring performers from communities along the Raquette River is made possible, in part, by business sponsors, with funds

provided to the Town of Colton from the state’s Decentralization Program, a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the St. Lawrence County Arts Council, and additional funds raised through raffles of barn quilts and the sale of products.
