CANTON -- Are you interested in learning about Native American heritage in the North Country? Iroquois songs and dance will be held Saturday, April 11, at 11 a.m. at the Second Saturday Children’s Program at the St. Lawrence County Historical Association Silas Wright House, 3 East Main St.
The program is geared toward kids ages 4-10, and their parents or caregivers.
Sue Herne from the Akwesasne Cultural Center, along with several youths, will share some of their culture’s traditions. They will sing Iroquois Social Songs and children will be taught how to dance to the songs.
